In the year 1995, Sir Dodo (SIT President) won as mayor in the Municipality of Madridejos, Bantayan. During that time I was appointed as a youth leader during his political career. In 1996, Salazar Institute of Technology (SIT) opened a second campus in the Municipality of Madridejos. The following year, 1997, the College of Criminology was opened. Sir Dodo appointed me as the department head, a position I have kept to this day. I have taught and served the school for almost 29 years. I have chosen to teach at the Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology (SCSIT) because of the President's dream to help poor families who cannot afford to send their children to college in Cebu City. Poverty is not a hindrance to success.

I have more than 40 years of experience in teaching, supervision, and administration from De La Salle College, Toledo City, then as the dean of the College and Graduate School of Education at the University of the Visayas, and presently the dean of the Education Department of Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology. My consultancy and coordinatorship of the Foundation for Advance Professional Development, Inc. (FAPDI) have widened my horizon as I continue to serve young people and adults. Serving and helping to develop the potential of people is my love and the goal of my life. Every accomplishment is attributed to the collaborative effort of the workforce.

It is engraved in my heart that everything I do should always be done at its best. A famous Lasallian quote, "Excellence is not just our standard; it is our way of life," is a significant factor and motivation to achieve one's goal in life.
